Visiting us

Parking

Parking, including handicapped parking, is available along the streets and in the lot behind the Church.

Which Doors to Use

We have lots of exterior doors at our church! We know this can be confusing at times, and we try our best to help our guests find their way around.

The main entrance doors to the sanctuary are located on West Keller Street. There are sidewalks leading up to these doors as well as a handicapped accessibility ramp located on High Street. An additional side entrance to the sanctuary is located on High Street. An entrance to the church and Sunday School rooms is located in the center of the church on Keller Street (not handicapped accessible.) An additional handicapped accessibility ramp is located at the rear entrance of the church (Coover Street side).

The church office entrance is located to the far left of the front of the church on Keller Street. The doors are locked during week days, so you will need to use the buzzer to request admission or contact the church office at (717) 766-4482. For worship services and other major events, the doors are typically unlocked.

Accessibility

Roomier pews – The last row in the main nave has extra legroom on both sides suitable for wheelchairs, walkers or other needs. In addition, the first rows in the nave are open and can accommodate wheelchairs, walkers, or other needs.

Handicapped-Accessible Restrooms – A restroom is located in the narthex upon entering the main doors to the Church. Additional restrooms are located through the choir wing and also outside Fellowship Hall, in the hallway adjacent to Fellowship Hall, and downstairs in our Sunday School wings.

Large print bulletins – Large print bulletins are available each Sunday from the ushers.

Handicapped Accessibility – The sanctuary is handicapped accessible via an outside ramp into the main nave or an outside ramp to the rear alley door. We also have handicap accessibility available to Fellowship Hall.

Dress

You are welcome to come to worship wearing whatever you find comfortable and appropriate in a public place. You’ll find some wearing coats and ties and others in sandals and shorts, along with everything in between.

Kids

We love kids! And we place a very high value on families being able to worship together. Nothing is more fundamental for raising children to know and follow Jesus than being in worship together as a family. At the same time, we know that it isn’t always easy, especially when kids are young or just getting started in worship, so we offer a number of things to help.

Church Bags – On your way into the sanctuary, grab one of the “Church Bags” to give your child(ren) some age-appropriate toys and activities. We keep them stocked with reading books and coloring books, as well as toys that don’t make a lot of noise.

Children’s Bulletins – A children’s bulletin is available each Sunday from the ushers.

Nursery – At this time, we do not offer a nursery.  If we begin again to need this service, it will be volunteer adult-supervised care intended for children ages birth to 5 years old. Children will be brought up to the sanctuary for a blessing during Communion.  We have a simple procedure for check in and check out to keep everyone safe, and we would call or text you if your child is having a difficult time (just remember to keep your phone on vibrate during worship!).

Cry Room – The Cry Room is located at the main entrance in the rear of the main nave. If you wish to keep a baby or small child with you, but need a break or a rocking chair, the cry room is available to you. There are speakers in the cry room to allow you to hear the service.

Children’s Sermon – Children are encouraged to join Pastor when invited for their own message during the Children’s Sermon. The Children’s Sermon is designed for ages toddler through 6th grade.
